Our Story

How Orquine came to be

Orquine was established in Singapore with a straightforward purpose: to offer qualified legal services in areas where clear, consistent advice makes a real difference to how businesses operate and how disputes are resolved.

Our founders had spent years working across major arbitration proceedings and corporate advisory mandates, and they noticed a pattern — clients often felt uninformed or sidelined during legal processes. The goal at Orquine has always been to change that. We stay in contact throughout each engagement, explain our thinking in plain terms, and make sure clients feel ownership over the decisions that affect them.

Today, we work with marketplace operators, importers, multinational businesses navigating cross-border disputes, and individuals requiring formal legal attestation. Each client receives the same attention regardless of the scale of their matter.

Legal Expertise in Singapore

Serving businesses and individuals across Singapore's legal landscape

Singapore occupies a distinctive position in the Asia-Pacific legal environment. Its arbitration framework — anchored by institutions such as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre — is widely regarded as one of the most structured and accessible in the region. Businesses operating across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and beyond increasingly choose Singapore as their preferred seat for commercial dispute resolution.

Orquine works within this framework to support clients who find themselves in cross-border disputes or who are structuring transactions with international counterparts. Our practitioners have experience with proceedings at SIAC and with the procedural rules of other major institutions, and we place considerable emphasis on helping clients understand what each stage of an arbitration involves before it happens.

Singapore's e-commerce environment has developed quickly. The Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, the Electronic Transactions Act, and the Personal Data Protection Act together form a regulatory framework that requires ongoing attention from marketplace operators and online retailers. Our advisory work in this area is grounded in a close reading of current requirements and an understanding of how regulators in Singapore apply their frameworks in practice.

For individuals and businesses requiring witnessed or attested documents — whether for use in Singapore or abroad — we provide a straightforward, reliable service administered by qualified practitioners. We take the time to review each document before witnessing and advise on any considerations relevant to its intended use.
